(Ice cream Sundae Pop-up)
A good friend of mine is really into this movie for some reason…I doubt a lot of the humor actually makes sense through translation to Mandarin. But he loves the movie, so throughout the years, I’ve given him gifts related to the movie, from a Michael J. Fox signed script to a Niue silver DeLorean license plate to a Marty Mcfly rubber duckie.
He came by every day, and we watched Star Wars and Mandalorian. We would build Lego sets together. One day I had the idea to make him a handmade card, so I looked into paper crafting. Then, I fell into card-making quite abruptly. The short time it took me to gather all sorts of tools and such that rapidly took over my workspace and my life was pretty shocking. I barely made him a dozen cards before I had no time or physical space for him.

We would see Twisters today after four months of not seeing each other. But a typhoon started heading straight for us and there was a military practice that closed off Taipei right when the movie was going to begin. So I made this card to give to him…hopefully in a few days when the typhoon passes.
Anyway, I used only 1082 Ice Cream Sundae pops for this card. It’s a great foundation die to build on, with an interesting feature. A reinforcement strip is cut into the sundae, which leaves a handy groove/track for me to attach the vehicle to the card via a penny. The video doesn’t really show it but the car slides left and right a bit, which was entertaining to me.
I hope my friend likes it.
