Ken - Group 55 - Easy Ink Blending

For this Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP) course, i wanted to create a card that highlights the bold beauty of the Coreopsis Craft-a-Flower set through rich colors and textures.

By ink blending soft gradients in shades of blue, the flower stands out against the dark background.   I splattered with white and gold watercolor for a starry-night effect - giving the entire composition a sense of depth and movement.

The sentiment ties everything together, reinforcing the powerful and uplifting message of this design. Watching Altenew’s florals come to life through ink blending is always a magical process, and this dramatic look is one I’ll definitely revisit.

I’m learning how to be bold and go dark like you are always so confident with…it’s fascinating watching your process shading with a pencil.
